Dr. Gardner holds masters and Ph.D. degrees in Microbiology. She conducted research on bacterial vaccines for 4 years at the NIH and taught Microbiology at the collegiate level for 5 years.
Dr. Gardner has senior editorial responsibility over CSA's 3 Microbiology databases as well as over the Virology & AIDS database and the Toxicology database. Additionally, she has supervisory oversight over 12 more Life Sciences databases covering such areas as biotechnology, genetics, oncogenes, immunology, and neuroscience.
