GeoScienceWorld Millennium Collection & Literature Archives

The GSW Millennium Collection and GSW Literature Archives present a comprehensive Internet-based resource for research and communications in the geosciences, built on a core database aggregation of peer-reviewed journals. Since February 2005, subscribers have had access to electronic full-text from the journals listed below; additional titles and backfiles are being added over time.

The journals are delivered through the HighWire Press Internet platform. Backfiles dating from 2000 and updated on a current basis are available for journals in the GSW Millennium Collection (in HTML and PDF); complete, uninterrupted backfiles up to 1999 will be available for journals in the GSW Literature Archives (in PDF). The GSW full-text databases is fully interoperable with GeoRef (published by AGI), the leading bibliographic service in this field.

GeoScienceWorld is the result of collaboration by six leading geoscience societies and one institute to develop cooperatively an electronic research resource unprecedented in the geosciences. GSW was developed to deliver online the aggregated journal content of both its founding organizations and many other not-for-profit and independent geoscience publishers. The founding organizations of GSW are American Association of Petroleum Geologists, American Geological Institute, Geological Society of America, Geological Society of London, Mineralogical Society of America, Society for Sedimentary Geology, and Society of Exploration Geophysicists. GSW is headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia.
