CSA Databases Expanded with American Society of Civil Engineers Records & Thesaurus Terms

BETHESDA, Maryland, USA (27 May 2004) -- Technology databases from CSA will now benefit from the addition of records and thesaurus terms provided by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE). The agreement will expand CSA’s technology thesauri by approximately 4,000 terms and CSA’s databases by about 100,000 records. The new records will appear primarily in CSA Civil Engineering Abstracts as well as in CSA Engineering Research Database and CSA Technology Research Database.

“We are particularly pleased to be working with ASCE to enhance our database offerings,” said Matt Dunie, president of CSA. “These additions ensure that our databases provide the most complete, accurate coverage of the literature on civil engineering available.”

Bruce Gossett, Managing Director of ASCE Publications, commented "Both CSA's and ASCE's databases are highly regarded in the engineering field. By combining our information resources into a single product, we are able to offer to the civil engineering profession a valuable new research tool."
