CSA & SAGE Publications Sign Agreement with Canadian Research Knowledge Network
BETHESDA, MD, USA (21 February 2006) - CSA and SAGE Publications have entered into a three-year agreement with the Canadian Research Knowledge Network (CRKN) to provide CRKN members a comprehensive offering of SAGE titles known as SAGE Collections Plus. SAGE Collections Plus combines the 10 SAGE Full-Text Collections (available through the CSA Illumina platform) with the SAGE journals not included in the SAGE Full-Text Collections (available through the SAGE Journals Online platform powered by HighWire Press). The 70 CRKN members represent the majority of academic research libraries at universities in Canada , thereby providing significant new multi-disciplinary research material to Canadian academic researchers.
With SAGE Collections Plus, the CRKN consortium will have access to 220 SAGE journals accessible on CSA's Illumina platform and 162 additional SAGE journals accessible on SAGE Journals Online. The SAGE Full-Text Collections are award-winning, research databases of the most popular peer-reviewed journals published by SAGE and participating societies in the social science and STM disciplines. The 10 databases include more than 87,000 articles, book reviews and editorials with original graphics and tables, many including up to 59 years of back issues.
"The CRKN is delighted to incorporate SAGE's outstanding content into its scholarly offerings," said Deb deBruijn, CRKN's Executive Director. "Our university students, faculty, librarians and administrators will now have research access to SAGE's leading social science and STM journals."
