FRANCIS Now Available Through CSA Illumina
BETHESDA, MD, USA (15 February 2006) -- FRANCIS, the international humanities and social sciences database, is now available through the CSA Illumina platform. FRANCIS provides broad international coverage of a wide range of subjects in the fields of humanities, social sciences and economics. This multilingual database includes a particular emphasis on European publications; a significant number of the abstracts and citations are to works in European languages.

FRANCIS provides coverage of more than 2000 journals as well as books and other documents. Citation information is given in both French and English. FRANCIS contains more than 1.03 million records and is updated monthly, with 36,000 records added per year.
FRANCIS is published by t he Institute for Scientific and Technical Information (INIST), a service unit of the French National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS).
