The Philosopher’s Index Now Available Through IDS
BETHESDA, Maryland, USA (3 September 2004) -- CSA has just announced that the The Philosopher’s Index, published by The Philosopher’s Information Center, will be available through CSA’s Internet Database Service (IDS) platform.
The Philosopher’s Index provides bibliographic access to abstracts from more than 550 journals; it contains backfiles to 1940 and is updated quarterly. International in scope, the database contains references from journals originally published in more than 40 countries in English, Spanish, German, French, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Czech, Hungarian, Polish and many other languages. Subjects covered include: aesthetics, axiology, philosophy of education, epistemology, ethics, philosophy of history, philosophy of language, logic, metaphysics, philosophical anthropology, metaphilosophy, political philosophy, philosophy of science, social philosophy, and the philosophy of religion.
“The Philosopher’s Index is a significant addition to the databases available on IDS,” said Matt Dunie, president of CSA. “It is the premier resource in its field, and it complements the humanities and social sciences resources on our platform.”
