PsycCRITIQUES Now Available Through CSA Illumina

BETHESDA , Maryland (9 June 2006) -- PsycCRITIQUES, published by the American Psychological Association (APA), is now available through the CSA Illumina platform. The database provides full-text access to reviews of current books and some popular films, videos, and software as well as comparative reviews of books reviews.

PsycCRITIQUES replaces the print journal Contemporary Psychology: APA Review of Books, providing major enhancements, very current reviews, and much more content. In each weekly release, PsycCRITIQUES delivers approximately 20 reviews of psychological books, most from the current copyright year.

According to Jill Blaemers, CSA Director, Social Sciences, "The availability of PsycCRITIQUES on CSA Illumina helps to maximize the researcher's ability to fully explore a research question by cross-database searching PsycCRITIQUES with other social science databases available on our world-class platform."

PsycCRITIQUES joins other APA-published databases available through the CSA Illumina platform, including PsycINFO, PsycARTICLES, and PsycBOOKS. Other psychology-related databases available through the CSA Illumina platform include ASSIA: Applied Social Sciences Index and Abstracts, International Bibliography of the Social Sciences (IBSS), and Psychology: A SAGE Full-Text Collection.

Additional information about PsycCRITIQUES, including a list of the books available in the database, is available at http://www.csa.com/factsheets/ PsycCRITIQUES -set-c.php.
