PsycBOOKS now available through CSA Illumina

BETHESDA, Maryland, USA (21 September 2005) -- PsycBOOKS, published by the American Psychological Association (APA), is now available through the CSA Illumina platform. PsycBOOKS provides instant access to a library of major works in psychology, containing both books published by the APA as well as classic resources and out-of-print books.

PsycBOOKS joins a number of APA-published databases available through the CSA Illumina platform. PsycINFO and PsycARTICLES are currently available on CSA Illumina, and PsycCRITIQUES is forthcoming on the service. Other psychology-related databases available through the CSA Illumina platform include ASSIA: Applied Social Sciences Index and Abstracts, International Bibliography of the Social Sciences (IBSS), and Psychology: A SAGE Full-Text Collection.

PsycBOOKS provides searchable electronic access to the full-text of more than 730 scholarly books with 12,200 chapters of material. Moreover, it is the sole electronic source for the APA/Oxford University Press Encyclopedia of Psychology containing more than 1,500 authored entries. Each month, 15-20 books published by APA and classic books from other publishers are added to the database.
